JavaPos.com – Some models of Samsung smartphones would have bugs. Samsung's cell phone has captured photos that can be "private". The photos are then secretly sent to contacts stored on the device at random.
The independent page, Wednesday (4/7), reported that the case was first blocked in the official forum of Samsung customers on the portal of entertainment and information of Reddit. Some users have reported that their personal images or even entire image galleries have been randomly sent to existing contacts via SMS.
This problem is reported on Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 smartphones. This problem is also called in the default email application, Samsung Messages. Samsung accepted the complaint and claimed to investigate.
"Samsung has looked into this issue in depth in recent days. However, no hardware or software issues have been found in connection with the case," Samsung said in a statement.
"We are aware of reports on this issue and our technical team is investigating it.Reasoned customers should contact us directly," said Samsung appealed to its users if anyone found anything similar .
In an account, users of Reddit's discussion forums claimed their own Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus sent "all alone" the entire photo gallery through the text to his girlfriend's contacts. Other users have since reported similar problems, but no cause has been found.
However, some have reported it after receiving an update of their email application. The application runs on the Rich Communications Communication (RCS) messaging service that is currently being slowly introduced worldwide.
RCS itself is a technology designed to replace SMS as a modern standard for text messaging and programmed to facilitate the sending of multimedia content.
In the meantime, it is recommended that users switch to a different email application or disable access to phone storage in the Samsung Messages application to prevent sending files.
