Soft drinks are indeed refreshing, but this has an impact on health

TRIBUN-BALI.COM – When thirst hits, many people in the world choose to drink a soda because it gives them a "refreshing" effect.

Sugary soft drinks with ice cubes make people admire the refreshing and "luxurious" taste of a canned drink.

But in reality soft drinks are not so healthy, there are other chemicals found in soft drinks.

A new study indicates that soda is actually much worse for you. Soft drinks can be a major factor in insulin resistance and, therefore, type 2 diabetes.

This study was conducted by researchers at St. Hospital. Michael and the University of Toronto in Canada, and published in the British Medical Journal.

Its goal is to better understand how sugar consumption affects overall blood glucose. They found that soda had more impact than other treats like sweets.

How do they discover?

They took data on 155 people with and without type 2 diabetes for about 12 weeks.

They found that foods containing natural fructose (such as vegetables, fruits and natural fruit juices) did not significantly affect blood glucose levels. This is not the case with foods containing added glucose.

Soda is much more dangerous and can increase the risk of diabetes more than other sugary foods.
