Jakarta – The Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) is implementing another strategy to facilitate traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road.
Bambang Prihartono, head of the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) at the Ministry of Transport, explained that besides alternating work on the Japek toll road and the limitation of the transport of goods likely to move on, the Ministry of Transport had also delegated the project to two contractors.
This is done to minimize the mobility of the usual rate of heavy equipment used for project work on the Japek toll road.

He gave an example: PT Waskita Karya, a subcontractor of the Jakarta-Cikampek overflight project, which was right next to the project site, had entrusted the task of creating substations for the HSR project executed by PT Wijaya Karya.
"For example, the construction of a substation by KCIC Jakarta-Bandung was entrusted to work with Waskita which was an elevated building, so there was no mobilization of tools" , he added.
He explained that if there was no mobilization of heavy equipment as soon as the project was built, the toll road would be smoother.
The system that will be executed for the delegation of the KCIC project on the Jakarta Tol Elevated, namely the KCIC Jakarta-Bandung, will only pay for the construction of the post in Waskita Karya, which is the Contractor Elevated Jakarta Toll.
"If there are two contractors, there are two mobilization tools, later by Waskita, we'll just have to pay, so KCIC only pays for Waskita, it's in Cikunir, kilometer 10, that it is a strategy, so that there is no excessive mobilization of equipment at a place that causes secondary disorders. ", he explained.
Bambang said that this method was the right way to pursue the goal of completing the project without having to disrupt the flow of traffic on the Japek toll road.
"Then there was also an overlap of tasks between KCIC and Waskita, it was completed first, KCIC was the first one, also in Cikunir, and after that I just got to Waskita. is already finished on December 2nd, "he said.
In addition, when questioned as to whether the contractors for the three Japek Line projects were the Jabodebek LRT, the Jakarta-Bandung Rapid Train and the Japek Toll Road, Bambang stated that all the parties had accepted this project.
"Already (agree), they all have meetings, we've talked, and even finished with the minister," he said.
Meanwhile, for information, the Ministry of Transport has recently decided to discontinue all work related to the Japek 11-17-17 toll road project. The policy has been criticized by various parties, including entrepreneurs.
