The Russian cosmonaut who had just arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) had a strange event.
Inadvertently, he discovered microbial creatures in the form of bacteria "perching" in the corridor of this station.
Strangely, these bacteria are not all that. According to the statement of this cosmonaut named Anton Shkaplerov, these bacteria do not come from the Earth, but from space.
"What I do know is that there are bacteria" living "in the space station, since my launch, I guarantee that this station will be sterile," said Skhaplerov, quoted by the newspaper. Mirror on wednesday (29/11/2017).
"Most likely, they come from space and gather here (the International Space Station)," he added. For information, this is the third time Shkaplerov visits the International Space Station.
For the moment, he returned to the station as part of the Expedition 54 mission which took place in December 2017. He revealed that bacteria had been discovered when the cosmonaut team had taken samples from the surface of the station corridor.
For now, Shkaplerov claims to have taken samples and studied the characteristics of these bacteria. It will announce if the bacteria are extraterrestrial or not.
"If they are really bacteria from outer space, it seems harmless to humans," he concluded casually.
