The cause of Stan Lee's death revealed

KOMPAS.com – After more than two weeks since Stan Lee's last breath, the cause of the death of the leading comic artist has finally been revealed.

According to his death certificate issued by the Los Angeles Department of Health, it is known that the creator of the iconic Spider-Man character died of a heart attack and respiratory problems.

His death document indicated that Stan Lee was suffering from aspiration pneumonia or pulmonary aspiration complications.

Pulmonary aspiration is in itself the ingress of food, stomach acid, saliva or other foreign objects into the lungs, which can trigger a lung infection.

In late February, Stan Lee revealed to the media that he was suffering from pneumonia. Stan Lee explained to TMZ that he had to cancel some of his activities due to the illness.

Lee also mentioned having suffered from congestive heart failure, a condition in which the heart fails to pump the necessary blood supply to the body.

Stan Lee died at the age of 95 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, United States, on November 12, 2018.

Before his death, Stan Lee had finished shooting like cameo for the release of several Marvel films, including for movies Disney Ralph breaks the Internet.
