The Jatigede hydroelectric plant will be in service next year

Jakarta – The Jatigede hydropower plant (PLTA) in West Java is expected to be operational by 2019. The plant has a capacity of 2×55 megawatts (MW).

Djoko Abumanan, East Java Regional Business Manager and Nusa Tenggara PLN, said the PAAT was built in 2015 and is expected to last four years.

"He has PLN, believe me.We are starting the construction of 2015, 2019 should work," he said in Jakarta on Tuesday (27.11.2018).


He continued, this development had encountered obstacles. Indeed, several areas need to be repaired in the field of the environment.

"The day yesterday was hampered by the need to repair some areas because the dam contained polyurethane.After its completion, it was late because of flooding," he said.

Development progress to date has reached 50%. He is optimistic that this project will be completed as planned.
