The President believes Pesantren Dea Malela is a prominent pesantren

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – President Joko Widodo believes that the modern international Pesantren Dea Malela of the Sumbawa Besar regency, to the west of Nusa Tenggara, is the center of the excellent Islamic education in the country and internationally.

Bey mentioned that President Jokowi inaugurated the installation of Dea Malela Modern International Pesantren (PMI), located in the Regency of Sumbawa Besar, Western Province of Nusa Tenggara, Sunday (29/7) night .

The head of state appreciates the beauty of the provision of the boarding school that lies in the mountainous region and the hills.

"I see from above, the buildings are very well organized, the layout is very good with contours up and down, in front there are mountains that dominate beautiful, right and left there there are hills ".

With the presence of various support facilities, the president also believes that PMI Dea Malela will become the center of Islamic education that excels in the country and the international world.

The facilities inaugurated by the president include libraries, study buildings, mosques and guest houses.

Not to mention, the president also invites those present to jointly preserve the blessings of diversity belonging to the Indonesian state.

This is done in order to maintain the greatest badet of the Indonesian nation, namely the unity, harmony and fraternity that is closely related to the people.

"I invite you all to continue to take care of our ukhuwah Islamiyah, to take care of our wathoniyah ukhuwah and to protect it, as it is our common duty," said the president.

International Pesantren Dea Malela has 272 national and international students, including 117 santriwati and 151 santriwan.

Of this number, there are santriwati and santriwan foreigners who come from Thailand 16 people, Cambodia 9 people, East Timor 8 people and Russia 2 people.
