Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Google displays every step of Saturn V's landing launch for an ambitious mission Apollo 11 via doodle today (7/19). Jessica Yu, Google doodle team leader and Pedro Vergani, doodler, the Google doodle team have shared the story of the emergence of the interactive doodle.

Yu said the original idea was to create interactive doodles to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the launch and landing of two humans on the moon. Vergani said he had the idea to describe every detail of the Saturn-V launch process to space.

"I'm just describing how the astronauts came from Earth and how they came back from the moon," Vergani said in the video posted on the Google blog.

To tell the story of the more humanistic journey of the Apollo 11 mission, Yu and the team claimed to have conducted a series of searches. In addition to visiting the research center up to NASA's history, the Google doodle team also discovered traces of the Apollo 11 trip to conduct interviews with one of the crew members, Michael Collins.

Billy Barry, head of NASA's history, said that he enjoyed working with Google.

Yu revealed the part that made him more eager to explore ideas for the Apollo 11 doodle, by which time he met Collins. He said he was surprised by the way Collins told every detail of his experience during his stay in the Moon module.

"I was around an orbit about 60 miles from Neil and Buzz on the surface of the Earth," Collins said.

Vergani claimed to have had this idea when Collins had told him that he was alone in the module while enjoying coffee and reading books.

The ambitious Apollo 11 project involved at least 400,000 people worldwide, from factory workers to experienced scientists to skilled engineers in their field.

The first human landing mission began when the three astronauts embarked on a Saturn V rocket to reach the Moon. Armstorng and Buzz landed the plane on the surface of the moon, while Collins "was waiting" for the arrival of two friends as he gravitated around the moon.
