UMP 2019 set, it's the province with the highest and lowest magnitude – Check

Now, as in previous years, some provinces have the highest minimum wage in Indonesia. And so far, the rankings of some of these provinces have not changed much. Discover some provinces with the highest UMP in 2019.

DKI Jakarta

The highest UMP 2019 was implemented by the provincial government DKI Jakarta, which reached IDR 3,940,972. The amount of wages increased by about 300,000 rupees from the previous figure of Rs 3,648,035.

Although it is considered the highest compared to other provinces, the UMP DKI Jakarta for 2019 is still considered weak. The unions demanded that the amount of DKI Jakarta UMP reach 4.2 million rand.

However, the DKI governor in Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, claims to have prepared a solution to lighten the cost of living of Jakarta residents if the UMP of 2019 does not meet the expectations of DKI workers. Some solutions include helping workers get on the Transjakarta buses for free and providing food subsidies.

Papua

The province of Papua, which has set the amount at 3,240,900 rupees, is the second most populous province in 2019. Previously, the UMP in Papua was set at 3 million rupees or increased about 240,000 IDR.

Bangka Belitung

The nearest UMP 2019 is in Bangka Belitung Province, which was set at Rs. 2,976,705. The UMP has increased compared to this year's UMP, which reached 2,755,445 rupees.

Aceh

Meanwhile, the highest UMP 2019 is in Aceh province. The UMP 2019 for Aceh is set at 2,916,810 rupees. This year the UMP for Aceh was set at about 2.7 million rupees. This means that there is an increase of Rp216,810.

Among the many provinces with the highest number of UMPs in 2019, there are also 2019 with the lowest scores, most of them in the Java region. This lowest UMP amount is less than IDR 2 million.

Yogyakarta Special Region

The province where UPM 2019 is the lowest is the Yogyakarta (DIY) special region, which reached 1,570,922 rupees or more this year, reaching 1,454,154 rupees.

However, by 2020, the DIY sector will revitalize the amount of the UMP by meeting the needs of workers for decent living (KHL), especially in non-food variables.

Central Java

For Central Java, the amount of UMP for 2019 reached 1,605,396 rupees or more than this year's UMP, which stood at 1,486,065 rupees. The amount of the UMP is stated in the decree number 560/62 in 2018 of the governor of Central Java regarding the UMP of Central Java 2019 in force as of January 1, 2019.

East Java

Not very different, the UMP 2019 for East Java also reached 1 630 059 rupees or increased from this year, reaching 1 508 894 rupees. The amount of UMP is determined by the Decree No. 188/629 / KPTS / 013/2018 of the Governor of East Java regarding the minimum wage in the province of East Java for 2019.

West Java

At the same time, the UMP 2019, also low in West Java, rises to IDR 1,668,372, up from IDR 1,544,360 this year. The stipulation was stated in Decree No. 561 / Kep.1046-Yanbangsos / 2018 of the Governor of West Java concerning the UMP of West Java in 2019.

How to calculate UMP

The annual amount of the UMP was determined by the Government Regulation (PP) No. 78 of 2015 concerning wages, which regulates the increase of the UMP according to the sum of the growth figures economic and inflation. Well, the increase of the UMP for 2019 was set at 8.03%.

For example, UMP 2019 for West Java was set at Rs. 1,668,372. This figure comes from an increase of 8.03% of the UMP, or 119,012 rupees compared to the UMP 2018, 1,544,360 rupees.

Know the differences between UMP and UMK

The amount of the UMP is generally lower than the minimum wage or MSE of the district / city. This UMP is usually determined by the governor while the UMK is also determined by the governor but on the recommendation of the council of wages, regents and mayors.

For example, if the 2019 UMP of West Java is set to Rs. 1,668,372, the UMK amount in a number of districts and cities will be greater than this number. Indeed, every region of the province of West Java is different. Some are designated as industrial zones, agriculture and plantations.

Another difference between UMP and UMK is at the time of stipulation. If the determination of the UMP is announced every November 1, the UMK is defined no later than November 21.

Controversy

The establishment of this UMP has aroused reactions, particularly among workers, in almost a number of regions. Workers felt that the amount of MPU set by each province was considered low.

There are also workers who consider that the determination of the UMP is abolished with the creation of MSE. In other words, who does the UMP apply if all areas of the city and regency have MSEs?
