(LEI) – Vivo does not stop with their crazy idea of hitting the smartphone . After introducing the sub-screen fingerprint scanner on Vivo X20 UD and the pop-up camera available on Vivo NEX, Vivo this time announced its latest technology called Time-of -Flight, abbreviated as Vivo TOF.
Vivo's latest technology has similarities with technology made by Apple, TrueDepth. The existing sensor will emit light that will be reflected by the surface it touches. These reflected light data will then be used to create a three-dimensional map of an object, or in this case the face of the user. The difference with TrueDepth is that Vivo TOF is capable of capturing 300,000 sensor points, ten times more than the number of sensor points present in TrueDepth.
Vivo TOF did not reveal much details. If you look at the application of some of the previous technologies, it seems that Vivo is not playing in its efforts to be a pioneer in the world of technology.
