PORTLAND, Ore. – Lainey's 4-year-old mouth, chin and chest burst into blisters just minutes after she drank a cup of her small cup filled with hot water at McDonald's PDX.

KEZI reported the incident Saturday after talking to Lainey's mother, Emily Dolbeer.

"It's the most heartbreaking and heartbreaking sound you've ever heard, I turn around and it's the smallest inconsolable man you've ever seen," Dolbeer said, according to KEZI.

Lainey and her family were at PDX en route for a family trip to Disneyland. Dolbeer says the distraction was good but Lainey did not behave like herself and they watch her and manage her pain.

"(The cup) is a thermo, but it is covered with Disney princesses, why would you even think of putting boiling water in a bottle of water for a child? Dolbeer asked.

KEZI contacted the McDonald's site where it happened and they said they had no comments to make.
