A cause of death was not given.

Nicolodi was born on June 19, 1950 in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. His career spanned decades with nearly 40 acting credits to his name. In addition to appearing in classics such as Dark red and Hell, Nicolodi played in the years 1977 Shock, which marked the last film by Italian horror author Mario Bava.

Nicolodi had a romantic relationship with director Dario Argento, whom she met in 1974 during the production of Dark red. The couple had a child, Asia Argento.

Nicolodi is survived by her daughter and granddaughter.
