FRANKFURT (Reuters) – German chipmaker Infineon has suspended shipments to Huawei Technologies, a sign that Washington's crackdown on China's tech company is beginning to hamper supplies beyond the United States, the company said on Monday. Nikkei Asian Review.

Citing two people close to the case, Nikkei said Infineon's decision to suspend deliveries came after the Trump administration officially added Huawei to a blacklist of trade on Thursday, immediately imposing restrictions that would would make it extremely difficult for the telecommunications company to deal with US companies. .
According to Nikkei, Infineon will hold meetings this week to discuss the situation and conduct assessments, adding it was not yet clear whether Infineon would resume relations with Huawei after clarifying the legal issues.
Infineon's annual sales to Huawei are $ 100 million or less, Nikkei said.
In addition, Alphabet has suspended its activities with Huawei, which require the transfer of hardware, software and technical services, with the exception of those available to the public through open source licenses, reported Reuters.
