Netflix is releasing the plot synopsis and new images for the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, revealing a new story with Leon and Claire.
Netflix revealed the plot of the next Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness animated series. The very first resident Evil The animated show was announced in September 2020. It will star Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, two fan-favorite characters and the stars of the hugely popular Resident Evil 2 Thu.
2021 is a fairly substantial year for resident Evil Fans. In two months, Capcom will be released Resident Evil Village, the next main game in the franchise. Resident Evil Village has been eagerly awaited, which is not surprising. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the Resident Evil 2 remakes were both incredible horror survival experiences. Resident Evil Village will introduce new enemies, including werewolf-like creatures and a giant vampiric woman. Besides gaming, this year sees the release of the next Hollywood production. Unlike previous live-action movies, the resident Evil reboot seeks to faithfully adapt the source material with the great characters from the first two games. Of course, there’s also the animated series coming to Netflix later this year. Like CGI movies, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be canon at the games.

Netflix has released a full plot synopsis and new footage, including a poster for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Leon and Claire’s voice actors have also been revealed. Leon will be voiced by Nick Apostolides, and Claire will be voiced by Stephanie Panisello, their voice actors from the Resident Evil 2 remake. Check out the synopsis and plot images below.
“In 2006, there were traces of inappropriate access to secret presidential files found in the White House network. US Federal Agent Leon S. Kennedy is among the group invited to the White House to investigate this incident, but when the lights suddenly go out, Leon and the SWAT team are forced to take down a horde of mysterious zombies. Meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield encounters a mysterious image drawn by a young person in a country she has visited, while giving her support to the refugees. Haunted by this drawing, which appears to be the victim of a viral infection, Claire launches her own investigation. The next morning, Claire goes to the White House to ask for the construction of a wellness center. There, she has a chance to find Leon and takes the opportunity to show him the boy’s drawing. Leon seems to realize some kind of connection between the White House zombie outbreak and the bizarre drawing, but he tells Claire that there is no relationship and leaves. These two zombie outbreaks in far away lands lead to events that shake the nation to the core.
Looks like Leon and Claire will meet again by chance. In the first CGI movie, Resident Evil: Degeneration, the two characters arrived at the same airport by pure coincidence. It will be interesting to see how the plot unfolds in Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Apart from the Resident Evil 2 remake, this will be the first time Leon has appeared onscreen since Resident Evil: Vendetta, and Claire’s first screen appearance since Resident Evil: Revelations 2, so fans of both characters have a lot to look forward to.
Although the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness synopsis provides a lot of detail, it also establishes a mystery with the image that led Claire to launch an investigation. It is fair to expect an exciting series with the usual resident Evil zombie action. It will be great for longtime fans to see if there are any references or callbacks to the games. Although not confirmed for this year, Netflix is also developing live action. resident Evil series following the children of Wesker. Really, resident Evil is about to enjoy a few quality releases on different media.
