Philly Triple A prospect Daniel Brito collapsed in the first inning of today’s game and had to be taken off the field by ambulance. According to a statement released by the team, Brito is currently undergoing surgery at a local hospital, but no further details have been provided. Brito is in his sixth professional season, all in the Phillies organization, and he earned his first promotion to Triple-A after reaching 0.296 / .363 / 0.457 in 275 PA for Double-A Reading this season.
