Kentucky Oaks 2019: Entries, ratings and posts

A full field of 14 is for Friday Kentucky Oaks, with the first prize for 3-year-old fillies, a record $ 1.25 in the stock market, while they run 1 1/8 mile at Churchill Downs. California-based Bellafina is certainly the one to beat, but it will offer little value in a race that includes divisional champion Jaywalk, the fast Serengeti Empress and Lady Apple, a newcomer to Oaklawn Park.

The game hour of the Oaks, race 11 of 13 at Churchill Downs, is 6:12 pm. AND with NBC Sports Network providing live coverage. Here is an overview of the field in order of position with the coaches, the jockeys and the morning line of Mike Battaglia

1. Go out for a ride, 15-1 (Dallas Stewart / Irad Ortiz Jr.): She scored in Keeneland's Ashland (G1) at 52-1, recalling that one should never fully count in the back of the Stewart. But they do not often hit twice. The numbers show a huge jump last time.

2
Chocolate Kisses, 20-1 (Mark Casse / Tyler Gaffalione): She has twice won her route to Ashland but was never involved that day. The good news: considering all types requiring advance in this race, the pace could be tighter than that of Chocolate Kisses.

3
Lady Apple, 20-1 (Steve Asmussen / Ricardo Santana Jr.): She competed in the races in April 2018, ran four times, and passed away after the month of August. At the start of the year, Lady Apple is 3: 3, but she improved a lot when she climbed the track to win the Oaklawn Park Fantasy Stakes (G2).

4
Bellafina, 2-1 (Simon Callaghan / Flavien Prat): Detractors will report her defeat last fall at Churchill Downs, but she had an excuse that day, being in the heat of the day. More worryingly, the favorite recorded higher numbers at distances of less than nine stages.

5
Flor de La Mar, 20-1 (Bob Baffert / Joel Rosario): Second at Bellafina in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1), this slightly run Godolphin runner performed well, but only on fast tracks. In case of rain Friday as planned, it fades.

6
Positive Spirit, 30-1 (Rodolphe Brisset / Manny Franco): It seems we can draw a line up to the last place of Fair Grounds to open his season. It's sandwiched between respectable performances at the Oaks distance, including a victory in Demoiselle on December 1st (G2).

7.
Jaywalk, 8-1 (John Servis / Javier Castellano): Brilliant at the age of 2, she was beaten at her two opening debuts this season. A third last time at Ashland (G1) might have been better than it had seemed given the fact that his scenario was very tight.

8
Movement emotion, 15-1 (Tom Van Berg / Mike Smith): This filly suits Smith by bringing some speed to the race, but there seems to be a lot of that signed. She was found and finished second in consecutive bets at Oaklawn.

9
Liora, 20-1 (Wayne Catalano / Channing Hill): Shades of Farrell, who also ran for Coffeepot Stables in the 2017 Oaks. Liora holds a 2nd year win on this track and, in particular, on the slop. Rain could be an equalizer after three losses this season.

ten.
Champagne no matter who, 6-1 (Ian Wilkes / Chris Landeros): A change in equipment – flashing lights on the move – seemed to make the difference when this Street Sense girl went from 2nd grade to winner of the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) with a pace impetuous.

11 Jeltrin, 15-1 (Alexis Delgado / Luis Saez): She was the winner at Gulfstream's Davona Dale (G2) 51-1 when Jaywalk fell as a favorite of chances to open her season. Jeltrin has not raced since and will debut at two rounds in the Oaks.

12
Street Band, 15-1 (Larry Jones / Sophie Doyle): The problems of Serengeti's empress in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) prepared this filly for her first ranked victory. Jones has won this race three times, while Doyle is looking to become the second female jockey to take it.

13
Serengeti Empress, 8-1 (Tom Amoss / James Graham): Dominating at times, including a 19th victory last fall on this track, the filly must answer a major question after she dropped the preparation at her last preparation because of bleeding through Lasix.

14
Waved Rider, 6-1 (Kenny McPeek / Brian Hernandez Jr.): McPeek, by design, is uniquely committed to this adventure, preparing Restless Rider once after a successful two-year season. She ran a credible second place in Ashland and improved.

Dunbar Roannouncement (5-1) and Point of Honor (30-1) Both are listed as eligible and may enter the field by the Friday deadline of 9:00 ET Friday, in that order of preference. Dunbar Road, a trainee from Chad Brown, was a finalist at Gulfstream Park Oaks on his second career start. Point of Honor, fourth in the race, won the Suncoast Stakes double from the Tampa Bay Downs.
