Adobe presented its new features and enhancements in Creative Cloud applications at NAB 2019 in Las Vegas. We met up with Adobe's Patrick Palmer and talked a bit more about updates and stability improvements in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Adobe has released a fairly important software update for its Creative Cloud applications before NAB 2019. In our interview at NAB, we focused solely on the Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software. Patrick told us that their team was really focused on resolving stability issues, which is a hot topic for Adobe Premiere. For example, Adobe has introduced a built-in analysis tool to indicate to users if there is an old or problematic version of the graphics processor drivers that may cause stability or degradation. Other problems with Premiere. Upgrading GPU drivers can often improve GPU acceleration and overall editing speed when processing high-resolution and high-speed footage in Premiere.

We were also assured that Adobe was listening to their users and that they were taking their comments seriously. They presented the feedback platform called UserVoice a year ago and it proved very useful. An example is the new Adobe Premiere feature called Rules and guides, which has been asked by many users of Premiere and that is why Adobe has decided to implement it in the new version. This new feature is even compatible and transferable between Premiere and After Effects.

Another new feature of Premiere Pro called Free form project. His goal is to help organize visually and create a media storyboard, as well as record layouts for shooting selections. Having an open canvas form should facilitate the process of brainstorming story ideas and editing. The Freeform panel clips can have different sizes and color codes and can be stacked into groups, which will make the editing process more visual.

Adobe introduced further enhanced Text tool for a better workflow with fonts, faster mask tracking Lumetri Color and effects with better graphics processor acceleration, better audio management and more.
