In a new teaser for Oprah Winfrey’s next revealing interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Markle isn’t holding back on his feelings towards Buckingham Palace.
Asked by Oprah how she feels about the palace hearing it speak its truth, Markle says that “there is already a lot that has been lost” when it comes to her relationship with the Royal Family.
“I don’t know how they could expect that after all this time we would just stay silent if there is an active role the company is playing in perpetuating the lies about us,” Markle says. “And if that carries a risk of losing things, I mean there is already a lot that has been lost.”
The teaser follows a Times article in which several royal assistants allegedly revealed that a bullying complaint was filed against Markle by one of his assistants. Buckingham Palace later announced it would investigate the allegations and a spokesperson for Markle told People Markle was “saddened” by the allegations.
“The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, especially as someone who has been bullied herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have suffered pain and trauma,” said the spokesperson at People. “She is determined to continue her work of promoting compassion around the world and will continue to strive to lead by example in doing what is right and doing what is right.”
Scheduled for Sunday on CBS at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT, Oprah’s interview with Prince Harry and Markle promises to delve into the couple’s experience with royal life, manipulating the public eye and their future goals. .
