With the next iPadOS, you can connect external drives and SD cards to your iPad as you can already with your Mac or Windows PC.
"iPadOS … supports external drives, allowing users to easily connect USB flash drives, SD cards or connect to an SMB file server, all from the" Files "application, Apple said in a statement released Monday at the World Developers Conference, WWDC, in San Jose, California.
The new feature reflects how closely iPads and Macs are getting closer. IPads and Macs remain distinct product lines, but with software tools such as Project Catalyst, formerly Marzipan, Apple is removing the obstacles.
Another important step: iPadOS will also support mouse pointers, as indicated by the first tests of the beta software.
