iPhone 11: Here's everything you get if you upgrade from a 6S

If you own an iPhone 6S or 6S Plus, it certainly has been a long time since you have not upgraded your new phone. In fact, a lot has happened in the last four years since Apple launched the 6S. Obama is no longer President, Game of Thrones has come to an end and eight new iPhone models have been launched, the most recent being the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max a tan Apple Event took place on Tuesday. The iPhone 11 is worth more than the iPhone XR

The A9 processor present on the iPhone 6S is four years old and is still capable of running on iOS 13. But the new A13 Bionic inside the iPhone 11 will undoubtedly be much faster and more effective than the A9. Hopefully the A13 will also have a life span of four or five years like the A9.

Bezels from a Bygone Age

One of the most obvious examples of how phones have changed since the iPhone 6S is its thick shell, pronounced chin and forehead. And while I'm not the biggest fan of the hack, this allows the latest generations of iPhone to have a more contemporary and sleek look while maximizing the amount of display that you obtain.

In fact, the screen of the iPhone 11 should be brighter and have a wider color gamut. It also features a feature called Tone that automatically adjusts the white balance of the screen according to the ambient light.

Do not forget that the iPhone 11 has a wireless charging and that its index of resistance to water and dust is equal to iP68. The iPhone 6S does not either.

You should also consider that the iPhone 11 is available in six colors, while the iPhone 6S has four, including two gold.

Animoji, Memoji and other iOS 13 features

As for iOS 13, the iPhone 6S will not be able much, at least in theory. The small print at the bottom of the Apple iOS 13 page is quite rare with regard to features that will not work on the 6S, which seem to be largely Animoji, Memoji and features such as portrait mode.

But the most exciting prospect for the iPhone 6S, besides the dark mode, will be the improvement in speed and battery life. It is still unclear to what extent these gains could be substantial. But if it's something like the improvements made by iOS 12 to the iPhone 5S, many people will be happy.

At the end of the day, keeping your trusty iPhone 6S for another year is not a mistake. But as the owner of the iPhone 6S Plus, I find the improvements and new features offered by the iPhone 11 hard to resist. And something tells me that in a year, I will not touch $ 120 on my four-year-old phone.
