A benchmark on what is said to be the GPU of Apple’s A15 chip, intended for “iPhone 13”, is 13.7% faster than the A14, keeping Apple’s lead in terms of mobile performance.
A benchmark test of the Manhattan 3.1 GPU shows that Apple’s A15 chip hits 198 FPS in the first round of tests. However, the second round isn’t nearly as impressive, scoring around 140 FPS to 150 FPS.
The benchmark results show the performance of the A15 GPU after two series of tests. Scores show that the A15 needs to slow down after a while, but even taking into account the drop in speed it outperforms its competition by a considerable margin.
According to a tweet from a leaker known as “FrontTron”, benchmark testing was performed on a sample of the A15 acquired from a July batch. The results were discussed in a Korean forum called Clien.
The iPhone 12 averages peak performance of 170.7 FPS in the Manhattan 3.1 test. FrontTron says the limitation is not a problem as it “exceeds” by far the peak performance of the A14, although the numbers seem to contradict that claim.

However, after the second round of testing, the limitation starts and drops to 140 ~ 150FPS.
