Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif took to Twitter on Saturday to warn President Trump

The Trump administration has accused Iran of regular rocket attacks on US bases in Iraq, including near the US embassy, although no Iran-backed group has claimed responsibility, Reuters reported.

Israel did not immediately comment on Zarif’s accusations on Saturday, according to Reuters.
The tweet precedes the one-year anniversary of the US murder of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani by a drone strike in Iraq.
National security officials have reported that Iran may be planning a retaliatory attack on the anniversary, prompting the US military will fly two B-52H bombers Wednesday in the Persian Gulf in an attempt to deter Iran.
The deployment marked the third such mission to the region in the past 45 days.
A senior US military official told reporters before the flight that a recent US intelligence report says Iran wants to “avenge this murder” and has “potential for other more complex attacks” against Americans in Iraq, Fox News reported.
“We plan to plan, especially in Iraq, complex attacks that require Iranian assistance to be successful,” the official told the media outlet.
Thursday, Zarif posted a tweet accusing Trump of trying to create a “pretext for war”.
“Instead of fighting Covid in the US, @realDonaldTrump and his cohorts are wasting billions to steal B52s and send armadas to OUR region. Iraqi intelligence points to a plot under the pretext of MANUFACTURING war, ”Zarif wrote. “Iran is not seeking war but will defend OPENING AND DIRECTLY its people, its security and its vital interests.”
This was followed on Friday by Iranian commander Esmail Ghaani who said on an anniversary of Soleimani’s death that Iran was ready to retaliate for the strike against the general. Ghaani replaced Soleimani as head of the Quds force after the general’s death last year.
“From inside your own home, there may emerge someone who will retaliate for your crime,” he said during the event at Tehran University, according to Reuters. “American misdeeds will not deter the Quds force from continuing its path of resistance.”
Last month, the United States confirmed that it temporarily withdraw staff of his embassy in Baghdad before the anniversary of Soleimani’s death.
