Three arrests occurred as part of the shooting that injured two police officers in Falmouth and a 21-year-old suspect.

Police also arrested Kimberly Koval, 38, and Marcus Maseda , 18, who would have interfered with police work after the main suspect. Kimberly Koval and Maseda were charged with obstructing justice, interfering with the duties of a police officer and badault and battery on a police officer.
A statement from the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office, Michael O 'Keefe, described the details of the shooting and indicated that DeMiranda and Moore were in good health after the exchange of blows fire around 17:30.

Authorities said that when the police tried to engage Koval, the suspect became "agitated" and ran into a house at 2 Ashley Drive.

Falmouth Police Chief Edward Dunne told reporters on Saturday afternoon that a third officer was injured at the hip while climbing a fence.
"Police fought back by striking Koval several times," reported D. A. Koval's office was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston for his gunshot wounds. He remains in a stable state there, guarded by the police.
The two Falmouth agents were transported to local hospitals after the shooting. Moore was cared for and released, and DeMiranda remains in good condition in a local hospital
