5 parents killed in a murder-suicide; 3 at the Texas retirement home

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Police were trying to determine a pattern Saturday after They said that one man shot and killed four family members in two places, including his father and mother-in-law inside a Texas retirement home before kill yourself too.

Richard Starryson is killed at age 85 The old Ernest Starry and his wife, Thelma Montalvo, on Friday night, said Enrique Paredez, a police lieutenant in the suburb of Robstown Corpus Christi. A firearm was found at the scene.

Paredez said that a family member then called the police at the couple's home where their 13-year-old adopted son and a 41-year-old son of Montalvo were also found shot dead. The names of the other two sons and the age of Montalvo were not disclosed.

The reason for the shooting was unclear, said Paredez at a press conference Saturday.

Reuben Garcia, whose father lives in the retirement home, was inside the house at the time of the shooting
