The Pittsburgh synagogue, where 11 worshipers were shot dead, sought a "security expert" from the government earlier this year to badess its vulnerability to attack, including an "active shooter" scenario, a federal official told The Post.
The Tree of Life Synagogue at Squirrel Hill directly requested the "Security Site Visit" while it was preparing to apply for a "non-profit security grant" from the Department of Justice. Homeland Security, said the official.
