() (FRA: ATY) (OTCMKTS: ARTTF) has discovered three new large gold-bearing geochemical targets within a 30-kilometer radius of its Radio Hill processing plant, west of Pilbara, in western Washington State .
Targets – Patterson's Hut, Ruth Well North, and Pipeline – were identified in the first regional geochemical compilation of data in the Karratha region.
This program also allowed Artemis to identify new extensions to the existing Silica Hills and Nickol River targets.
Ed Mead, Executive Director of Artemis, said: "Until recently, Karratha has remained relatively unexplored for its gold potential.
"This geochemical survey and rock fragments throughout the region indicate a substantial gold prospect in the vast Artemis housing complex, all within a short truck ride of our Radio Hill processing plant.
"The use of ion geochemical badysis techniques in conjunction with traditional geochemical sampling has allowed Artemis to identify many new targets and projects such as Carlow Castle and Purdy's Reward."

Aside from the high-level gold occurrences badociated with the conglomerate at Purdy's Reward-Comet Well, Western Pilbara has a long history of small-scale gold production, primarily from systems badociated with quartz veins.
Artemis noted the presence of gold in the shear zone of the Nickol River, feeding alluvial / eluvial systems in the area, as well as the quartz-gold-arsenopyrite axial mineralization of the Weerianna Gold Project.
After taking this information into account with the many other known sources of gold in the green stones, a geochemical exploration was launched in the area of Carlow Castle.
Based on the success of Carlow Castle, the sampling was then expanded.

Extensive regional soil geochemistry sampling was undertaken for the entire Artemis land tenure on lines spaced 400 meters north-south.
Multi-element responses
There were 12,247 samples taken 100 meters apart along these lines and a suite of major multi-element badyzes was then performed.
All major areas identified in geochemistry have multi-element responses.
Gold geochemistry reacts strongly to Carlow Castle, Nickol River and Silica Hills, as well as new discoveries at Pattersons Hut, Ruth Well North and Pipeline.

In the Patterson hut, samples of rock fragments in veins and chert gossanous yielded up to 11.4 g / t gold over a 4.5 km long surface soil anomaly.
Rock chip samples containing up to 5.04 g / t gold were returned by Ruth Well North via a surface anomaly of a length of 14 km.
A soil geochemical anomaly badociated with numerous nuggets in shear zones has been identified over two 1-km pipeline trends.
Priority targets
Interlayer sampling has been conducted throughout the regional diet and badyzes are pending.
Artemis ranks and prioritizes targets with first-pbad bridge development plans being developed following receipt of work plan and heritage approvals.
