The agent, Adam Jobbers-Miller, is currently in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital. Police officials reported that a suspect in custody was also injured during the shooting, but no details were provided.

Filming took place shortly before 8 pm. when the police officer from Sanibel City was injured by a shooter while driving while he was sitting in his patrol car after making a routine stop near Bailey and Sandcastle roads.
Other police then exchanged blows with a suspect. The policeman was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released later.
Police officer Jarred Ciccone, 43, was shot by a bullet fired by the island police officer.

Shooting at Club Blu killed Sean Archilles, 14, and Stef & An Strawder, 18, in addition to to hurt other people. At least one shooter fired a gun at the crowd that was coming out of a teen party at the club on Evans Avenue
At the time, it was the fifth multiple firing in Lee County since September 2015.

A good Samaritan shot down Edward Strother on the ramp out of Corkscrew Road while he was beating a sheriff's deputy.
Bardes sued Strother in his vehicle and the two came out of their cars near the Corkscrew Road off-ramp when the confrontation escalated.
Ashad Russell, a man from Lehigh Acres, came to Bardes' defense by shooting his own pistol at Strother and killing him.
Bardes was found dead in his home on January 2nd. He was 48 years old. No criminal act is suspected, according to the police.

gunshots started at 11:44 pm in 2200 block of First Street in downtown Fort Myers. A victim suffering from a gunshot wound was found in front of 2224 First Street and died at the scene
