A new industrial action at LloydsPharmacy now seems likely after a group of workers who have organized several strike days in recent weeks voted overwhelmingly to reject proposals for terms and conditions made between the company and a representative body internal.
The Mandate union said that there was a 96% vote against Friday's proposals among the workers concerned.
However, a vote of all staff on new proposals being organized by the internal staff representation body is to start next week.
About 270 employees of the company, who work in about forty outlets, organized a seventh day of strike Friday in a conflict centered on wages, conditions and union recognition.
About 160 of these workers attended a general meeting organized by Mandate and then organized a protest outside the Citywest headquarters in Dublin.
LloydsPharmacy said Friday that its representative committee represented the majority of its colleagues. in the company. He argued that the mandate represented a minority of staff, less than 20 percent of the total.
