Two gunmen were released Sunday in New Orleans after shooting "indiscriminately" on a crowd in front of a daiquiri store and killed three people. Seven people were injured.
"Two individuals dressed in what we thought were hoodies … approached from behind and opened fire – one with, we believe, a rifle and one with a handgun", told reporters Saturday evening . "They stood over one of the individuals and fired several shots and fled on foot."
"It must be personal," he added. "Shooting indiscriminately on a crowd, killing 10 people, killing three, it's personal, it does not become more personal and we take it as staff."
Two men and one woman were found dead on the scene. The shootout occurred Saturday night on Claiborne Avenue, about three miles from the French Quarter, New Orleans Police spokesman Aaron Looney said a statement
wounded were taken to hospitals in the area. One of the victims in critical condition was operated on.
Police said they did not know the motive for the shooting

Mayor LaToya Cantrell condemned the violence in a statement published shortly after the shootings.
