Five released by police investigating an attack on a woman at the Manchester hotel

Five people arrested after a woman had her throat slit during an attack at a downtown Manchester hotel were released under investigation.

Police were beaten on the street by the victim near the Hilton in Deansgate. 11:10 am, Monday

The 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital to be treated with lacerations at the nape of the neck, but was later allowed to return home

On Tuesday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said that three men, aged 26, 26 and 24, a woman of 20 17 year old and a 17 year old … an old girl who was arrested because she was suspected of attempted murder was released.

A sixth suspect, a 20-year-old man, remains in detention for questioning.

Witnesses testified on social media that the victim ran screaming in the street and that three men were arrested shortly thereafter.

Two women were later seen handcuffed at the hotel. The Hilton Manchester Deansgate occupies part of the 47-story Beetham Tower

described by its promoters as the largest residential building in Europe and the seventh tallest building in England.
