Florida yoga studio shooting leaves 1 dead victim, 4 wounded; gunman kills self

A gunman killed a person at a yoga studio in Tallahbadee, Florida, on Friday evening before apparently fatally shooting himself, officials said.

Tallahbadee Police Chief Michael DeLeo said at a media briefing that people were in critical condition following the shooting. He said the shooter died from a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound.

DeLeo told reporters that police were called for a report of a shooting at around 5:37 p.m. Five people were transported to hospitals, and one victim died at a hospital, he said.

A spokesman for Tallahbadee Memorial HealthCare said that it was a patient who was dead with a gunshot wound and other patients with bullet wounds; the other three were in serious condition. Another patient was grazed and was in good condition.

"At this time, all indications are that of a single person," DeLeo said. "There is no immediate threat to our community. Obviously, we're very saddened and shocked by the events that have occurred. "

City spokesman Jamie Van Pelt said the shooting appeared to be part of a domestic dispute, the Associated Press reported.
