DETROIT, MI – A famous piece of Detroit's history was seriously damaged, just as restoration efforts were underway.
The historic S.S. Ste Claire, also known as one of Boblo Island's boats, caught fire this morning. Firefighters tell MLive that someone was on board when the fire started, but this person did it safely. It was believed that they were working on the boat.
