Satisfied Éireann has extended the warning "Weather Yellow" for a week while high temperatures continue to "worsen drought conditions".
Temperatures continue to peak around mid-20 and are expected to peak at 28C this weekend.
The national forecaster predicts that "generally dry and hot weather will continue throughout Ireland for the rest of the week and next week, thus exacerbating drought conditions."

Meanwhile, a national ban on watering pipes will come into effect tomorrow.
The ban was introduced for the first time in the Greater Dublin area on Monday
. The island faces water restrictions after the water of Northern Ireland imposed a limit on Monday's domestic water use.
