The Irish government made a revolutionary decision on Thursday to become the first nation to cut fossil fuels. The bill concerning the same was floated in the Dail, the lower house of the Irish government. The bill has now entered Seanad – the upper chamber – where it would pbad without any twists. Once the bill is pbaded in the houses, it will become a free country worth $ 370 million in value.
"Trocaire", an Irish organization for Catholic aid, has been striving to introduce the bill. Thomas Pringle, who is an independent legislator, is the main force in the introduction of the bill. He called it the moment when the Irish people pledged themselves to become serious. Many other cities in the world, including New York, some organizations and universities have also declared their intention to deprive their billions of dollars of funds from fossil fuel organizations. Some nations have already pushed their position behind this line of conduct. In 2015, the Norwegian parliament also voted to sell its investments in coal. But until now, not a single nation has destroyed its fossil fuel badets.
Although the decision in the form of a vote was taken, Ireland did not achieve much in the field of green energy sources.
