Irish airspace is preparing for the most busy summer of its history

The total number of flights handled in the Irish airspace for June 2018 was recorded at 112,005 movements, an increase of + 4.1% compared to June 2017.

Figures released by the Irish Aviation Authority include total terminal movements (Dublin, Cork, Shannon), North Atlantic Communications flights (Europe / US flights) and overflights managed.

These record figures mean that the Irish skies are ready for the busiest summer of all time.

With respect to international arrivals and departures, the traffic of the Shannon, Dublin and Cork airports' commercial terminals increased by + 4.7% in June 2018 compared to June 2017.

Dublin's commercial terminals grew + 4.9% with an average of 703 daily trade moves to Dublin.
