Oman's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will draw inspiration from the frankincense tree, which is a symbol of significance in the sultanate.

Located in the Mobility District, Oman's Pavilion is designed using traditional Arabic architecture with a contemporary twist. The theme focuses on the historical significance of the tree, which Oman says civilized for more than 5,000 years.

The pavilion will be split into five areas of transport, through the interactive, multimedia environment that tells the story of the nation's past, present, and future.

Oman's story of frankincense trading along historic routes from Dhofar to Iraq, the Levant, ancient Egypt, and as far afield as Rome will be pavilion's first exhibit.

The pavilion will be used in food, medicine, and cosmetics.

Oman's manufacturing industry, and the country's attitudes to sustainability, travel, trade, and tourism will also be explored by the pavilion, which will use technology to tell the story.

HE Mohsin bin Khamis Al Balushi, general commissioner of the Sultanate of Oman for the world expo, said the preparation has been completely different from the previous participation.

Omani citizens are expected to visit the expo in large numbers, and Balushi added that the country's youth will play a vital role in its participation at Expo 2020 Dubai.

"Everything related to the implementation of the Oman pavilion project has been [done] by Omani youth in full, from design, equipment, and even operation. "

With more than 20,000 people in the world, they are planning to open their doors for Expo 2020 in Dubai, the countries of the world have revealed the design and theme of their respective country pavilions. These include Pakistan, Poland, UK, Germany, and New Zealand.
