Police investigate the death of a six-year-old boy. one year after what is believed to be a "pellet wound".
Humberside police said they had been called to Church Lane in Sproatley, East Yorkshire, on Thursday afternoon to report that the boy had been seriously injured.
He later died at Hull Royal Infirmary,
Chief Inspector Mark Goulding said: "The initial indication is that it's a matter of course. but we are investigating the circumstances and the investigation is in its infancy. "
"We think of his family, who are supported by specialist officers, and we ask that they be given privacy at this very difficult time."
