Researchers discover 50 000 000 carats Diamond Iniside the Earth

AMERIKA SERIKAT, NNC – Scientists have just discovered a treasure trove of diamonds, very valuable for destroying the global economy. Scientists consider that there is a ton of diamonds buried in "cratonic roots" on four continents

There's only one small catch: the treasure is buried 100 miles from depth, deeper than any drilling has ever penetrated, according to MIT researchers.

The cratonic root is the oldest part of the rock under tectonic states, mountain-shaped upside down. Researchers estimate that roots can contain 1 to 2% of diamonds, which means that about a quadrillion tons of diamonds are buried there.

Since a ton of diamonds is 50,000,000 carats, each carat is worth at least 3,000 pounds. "This shows that the diamond may not be this exotic mineral, but on the (geological) scale of things, it's relatively common," says Ulrich Faul, a researcher at MIT. Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, according to Novinite.

"We can not get them, but there are still many more diamonds than we ever thought."

The researchers conclude that there were diamonds out there because of an anomaly in the seismic data – where the sound waves seem to accelerate.

Faul and his badociates counted that the anomaly could be caused by 1-2% of diamonds in "cratonic roots."

Diamonds in many ways is special. The speed of sound in the diamond is more than twice as fast as in the dominant mineral in the upper mantle rocks, olivine. "
