Manafort is accused of trying to hide tens of millions of dollars in Ukrainian political consultation fees and use that money to fund a lavish lifestyle. He is the only American accused by Mr. Mueller of opting for a lawsuit.
Prosecutors have lined 35 witnesses and more than 500 pieces of evidence which they say will show that Manafort earned more than $ 60 million in Ukrainian labor and then hid a "significant percentage" of this money from US tax inspectors .
