CHRISTMAS is officially on the way – and Smyths Toys Superstores have revealed their Irish stores will now be open until 11pm midweek in the run up to the big day.
The toy giant will be open late to cater to everyone looking to get ready in time for the festive occasion.
Smyths will be open until 11pm from Monday to Friday, starting from today, November 15 right up until December 21 in 116 of its stores across the country.
However, the new hours do not include its Jervis St store in Dublin and Cork’s Maylor St.
Their stores are bursting with a huge range of toys, video games, bikes and baby products, including all the top brands and has recently released its predictions for what will be the most popular toys this Christmas.
The new opening hours come just in time for parents to bag a bargain ahead of Black Friday.
But the Black Friday deals are only while stocks last so parents are urged to get making their lists to avail of the best bargains ahead of the big shopping day on Friday November 23.

Brands Barbie, Ben 10, Bright Starts, Disney Frozen, Nerf, PJ Masks and Thomas the Tank Engine are all included in the current deals listed online.
Meanwhile, Mothercare Ireland has launched its Great Toy Spectacular Sale – with over 50 toys reduced by up to 50 per cent.
Plenty of Early Learning Centre and Mothercare’s own brand toys’ prices have been slashed just weeks before Christmas as the sale kicks off.
And there’s toys suitable for newborns and for kids right up to eight-years-old on offer.
The Bosch workbench with sound is half price down to €37.49 and the Happyland Cherry Cottage is also half price at €39.99.
And the Blossom Farm Sit Me Up Cosy is 30 per cent off at €38.49.
Aldi Ireland has revealed their new range of advent calendars and there’s one for the whole family, including pets.
Kids can enjoy the countdown to Christmas with Aldi’s Disney advent book priced at a reasonable €12.99 and contains 24 different mini-books from the Disney Storybook Collection in a cased wallet.
