A fake pbadport, which helped Sri Lankan nationals from Chennai abroad, was arrested in Tamil Nadu. Two Sri Lankans, including a 38-year-old woman believed to be part of the racket, were arrested, according to the Mumbai Mirror.

The criminal branch had previously arrested 11 people, including a travel agent, for allegedly preparing fake pbadports by collecting up to Rs 10 Indian lakh from Sri Lankan nationals. The travel agent would have collected the expired pbadports of the poor and sold them to Sri Lankans as valid Indian pbadports.
