A Dallas woman shot an alleged car thief in the head after trying to slide her SUV into a gas station – while her two young children were in the interior

Speaking at FOX 4, the mother of two recounted what happened on Wednesday night at the local Shell station near the town. Interstate 35 – where she almost died.

Booker-Hicks paid for gasoline by seeing the suspect get into his SUV and try to leave, police said.

"I started skipping … and I asked the gentleman to stop, get the car out," said Booker-Hicks. "He did not want to get out of the car."

The suspect returned and looked at a frantic mother – "with her eyes snarling" – but continued, she said.

"I reached the middle of my armrest, to get to my glove box," Booker-Hicks told FOX, noting how she had a gun inside. "It's at that time that I shot him."

According to the police, Booker-Hicks shot the man once in the face and licked him crashed against a nearby telephone pole. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and should be charged with kidnapping and carjacking

"I hope it woke him up," said Booker-Hicks. [ad_2]
