A former Fair City actress trains to become an astronaut.
Dr. Niamh Shaw not only has a long career in film and television, but also two degrees.
She played the role of Frances McGuigan in the soap opera RTE Fair City about 10 years ago.

Dr. Shaw hopes to become an astronaut and go to space one day.
"If I do not do anything about it, it will haunt me for the rest of my life," she told the Irish Independent.
She realized her dream in 2011 while she was working on her first theater show, That's About the Size.
