The moon aligned with the earth and the sun gave the body a dark red glow.
In recent weeks, Ireland hoped to get rid of this heavenly event.
As we prepared to watch the show, the gods of heaven had different plans for us.
Yesterday, Met Éireann issued a rain warning and in a typical way, the clouds rushed in and literally rained on our parade.
