STERLING, VA-You may have felt late Sunday, this unmistakable shift from "The Sticky". The northern Virginia weather forecast for this week will include this movie during the first two days before a brief break, according to the National Weather Service and other forecast agencies in the region
Rain could even get into the Picture Monday afternoon and Tuesday night. after which we will probably have a handful of sunny days with reduced humidity. Cooler, too, but, as the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang points out, "on the weekends, it becomes sticky again with showers and storms coming back into the forecast."

Monday: Possibility of showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Generally sunny, with a maximum near 93. Light southerly wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. The chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tonight: Chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then light chance of rain. Cloudy with a minimum of 77. Wind south around 8 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday: Chance of showers and then showers and thunderstorms probably after noon. Cloudy with a maximum of 87. Wind southwest around 8 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New showers are possible between a quarter and a half inch
Tuesday evening: Showers and thunderstorms probably before 2am, then light chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, then becoming gradually clear, with a minimum around 69. Wind north-west 6 to 8 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. The new precipitation is between one-tenth and one-quarter of an inch, except in the case of heavy rainfall.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a maximum near 85. Wind north around 9 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high close to 87.
Thursday Night: Roughly clear, with a minimum around 67.
Friday: Fairly sunny, with a high close to 87.
