The revelation made this week by Zayn Malik that he no longer considers himself a Muslim has not gone unnoticed.
His quotes about religion were nested in a British Vogue An interview in which he may have somewhat confirmed the rumors that Taylor Swift would have avoided the paparazzi by hiding in a suitcase and gushing out of his love story with Gigi Hadid. "To be honest, I never spoke in public about my religious beliefs. I do not pretend to be Muslim, "said Malik, 25, raised in religion.
When asked if he would call himself a Muslim now, the Brit replied, "No, I would not do it.
"I believe that people's religious beliefs are with each other and with anyone or whatever they practice." For me, I have the spiritual conviction that there is a god. Do I believe that there is a hell? No."
Malik said that even talking about faith "becomes a religious fiasco for philosophers".
The former star of One Direction said, "I just want it to stay between me and what I believe. I have the impression that it makes me move forward in life in a pleasant way. If I behave well, I will be well treated. That's all.
"I do not think you need to eat some meat that has been prayed in a certain way, I do not think you need to read a prayer in a given language five times a day. I do not believe it. I just think that if you are a good person, everything will be fine for you. "

Leaving his religion, said Malik, was "very easy" for him.
"With my mother and father, they were always there to educate us – I went to the mosque, I studied Islam – but they gave us the opportunity to choose for yourself," did he declare.
Malik acknowledged that he was happy to have based his life on the principles of Islam and the interviewer indicated that he spoke "softly and gently" when talking about the subject. Malik also said, "There are definitely beautiful parties in every religion."
As you can imagine, the comments elicited negative reactions on social media.
