Is Emma Watson retiring? Star walking away from the action

Emma Watson appears to be taking a break from the big screen.

The “Harry Potter” star, 30, is retiring from acting, the Daily Mail reported. Watson’s agent told the outlet that she was “dormant” with her career and would not be taking on any new projects for the foreseeable future.

She is also reportedly looking to spend more time with her fiance, Leo Robinton. The couple have been dating since 2019.

Watson’s rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Watson’s alleged hiatus comes after a rocky road after her latest film, Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of “Little Women.” Page Six reported in December 2019 that Watson had refused to join his castmates – Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern, Timothée Chalamet and Meryl Streep – during the press tour and simply attended the premiere of the movie.

“Emma’s reps told Sony she would only premiere,” a film source told us at the time. “We don’t really know what happened, if she wasn’t happy with the movie or if she fell out with the cast.”

“Little Women” was then nominated for five Oscars and won one for costume design.

Watson had previously dated actor Chord Overstreet. The couple resigned in May 2018. In October 2018, she was spotted on a romantic getaway with tech CEO Brendan Wallace.
