Xiaomi Redmi phones are arguably the best low-budget phones each year, and it looks like we can expect another entry in 2019.
A new Redmi device (model number M1908C3IC or M1908C3IG) has switched between the FCC and the Chinese organization TENAA, but this is the last list that gives us all the details. The images show a phone with what appears to be a notch, as well as a dual rear camera configuration, a rear fingerprint scanner and the Redmi brand.
TENAA's filings also reveal numerous specifications, including a 2Ghz octa-core chipset, 2GB to 4GB RAM, 16GB to 64GB expandable storage, and a 6.2-inch LCD screen ( 1,520 x 720). The camera-related specifications include a 12MP main camera and an 8MP selfie shooter.
It can be said that the standout feature is the 5000mAh battery, which makes it much bigger than any Xiaomi phones launched in 2019. This capability theoretically means that two days of moderate to intense use are possible.
Other specifications listed on TENAA include Android Pie, a headphone jack and a fast charge (no speed was specified).
In addition to the battery, these basic specifications suggest that we look at a low-end Xiaomi phone such as the Redmi 8. But Xiaomi has already launched low-end Note models, such as the Redmi Note 5A. In any case, you should expect a cheap device with a lot of stamina on the paper.
