The King of Fighters 15 hasn’t announced any newcomers joining the ranks of this iconic ensemble cast, but that stream officially ended tonight.
SNK has finally revealed tonight the identity of its latest creation, Isla, which got its own gameplay trailer during KOF15’s presentation at the Tokyo Game Show.
As many gamers suspected, the developers confirm that Isla has the same spiritual powers as Shun’ei, possibly related to Verse, the boss of King of Fighters 14.
Unlike her rival, however, the show’s newcomer ghost fists are still on the playing field, so they’re an integral part of her move set.
The trailer shows Isla pointing her finger to send our hands to attack from a distance, giving her a bit more range than they otherwise would have.

She can also throw her hands up to blast her dash across the screen with a speed boost or a quick dive kick. There’s also a bit of pretense attached to them, given that she can do a double jump through the air instead.
Isla’s attacks seem more powerful when she is close to the opponent when she can fight in tandem with the ghost, though she is clearly still just as lethal from a distance.
Her spray paint cans aren’t just for the aesthetic, either, as she throws them at the opponent for a few attacks and even smears their contents on the screen during her Climax Super.
