Didn’t a free Krispy Kreme donut convince you to get the shot? Well, how about TWO free donuts?

Because everyone knows that free dessert is in the hearts of Americans and 39.6% of eligible Americans are still unvaccinated, Krispy Kreme stepped in to raise the ante. Building on its existing offer of an original glazed donut free for anyone with proof of vaccination until the end of 2021, the chain is now offering two free donuts to every American with proof of vaccination from August 30 to 5. September.

The second donut in question will also be an original glazed donut, but it will be heart-shaped – an “innovation rarity,” according to a press release. The new promotion is apparently to celebrate the recent full approval by the Food and Drug Administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

“The approval of any of the vaccines by the FDA is an important step in making people much more comfortable with the way they take the vaccines,” Mike Tattersfield, CEO of Krispy Kreme, told USA Today . “And if we can cheer people on, we’ll be giving away a second donut next week that’s shaped like a heart.”

Because if one donut didn’t, maybe two will? Worth it.
